We have been seduced by this house twenty-five years ago, accessible from Paris by train, with its garden planted with remarkable trees. A couple of years ago, we decided to share this haven for birds and squirrels, close to the Marne river, with our hosts to help them discover our nice region East of Paris.
In an ever accelerating world, we assumed that a restful place would be well appreciated by travellers. If we have the chance to welcome you at L'Orangerie Saint Martin, it will show that our intuition was correct!

For the last 14 centuries, the Jouarre Abbey and its Benedictin community occupy the center of the Jouarre village. Are open to the visit: the Merovingian crypt beneath the Romanesque abbey church containing a number of burialsn the former bell tower of the Abbey turned into a museum as well as a shop dedicated to monastic craftsmanship.
